Community Projects
On this page, you will find all the projects I have been apart of in the last four years.
I greatly value community and have dedicated my work to trying to make my community a more unified place. Each of these organizations work hard towards the same goal and I am honored to share the work these organizations do.

2023 Mask Fundraiser & Exhibition
Each year the Museum of Art Fort Collins hosts Mask fundraiser and exhibit, where local artist design a mask that is put on auction to raise money for the museum.
For the year 2023, I had the opportunity to work alongside an artist to document her process, wrote two magazines, and was promoted to Editor-in-Chief for all public media.
I was able to practice my design, writing, and leadership skills which taught me the importance of teamwork and urgency.
Center for Public Deliberation
The Center for Public Deliberation is a nonprofit organization through Colorado State University that teaches it's members how to facilitate and direct complex conversations. The organization hosts public meetings where facilitators mediate Wicked Problem conversations with community members. Another member is assigned the role of notetaker, who is obligated to document the conversation without bias, then these notes are given to the city for review and consideration when making legislative decisions.
While apart of the organization, I had the opportunity to learn facilitation skills, along with practicing my ability to document events with as little bias as possible. I was also able to practice interacting with my community, with people of all ages and identities, which has helped me interact in community while I am in different positions.
Queer Memory Project
The Queer Memory Project is a study and project by Colorado State University Professor, Dr. Tom Dunn. His and the project's mission is to document LGBTQ+ history and stories across Northern Colorado in order to create educational documents for generations to learn from.
My role in this project was researching and writing stories using city and library databases, and interviewing community members about their experiences. After gathering the information, I was one in a team of writers that created a timeline of the history we found, which we then presented to the city of Fort Collins for recognition that our work is a legitimate form of education.
In this position I had the opportunity to learn research skills, practice unbiased writing, learn how to interview people on sensitive topics, and speak to government officials in a city council setting .
The ACT Human Rights Film Festival is an annual film fest put on by the Colorado State University organization, ACT. The purpose of the event is to showcase independent filmmaker's documentaries on events happening around the world, and raise money for nonprofits supporting the subject's cause.
While with ACT, I was a Personal Relations Intern, where I had the opportunity to design fliers and posters, communicate with sponsors, and coordinate ad sales with local news outlets.
In my role, I was learned how to design paper media, communicate with sponsors and news outlets about financial and advertisement material.
